LECTURES

The third-year teaching course of the Jean Monnet Module will start in March 2025.

Specifically, the course will focus on the analysis and search for practical and theoretical solutions, aimed at balancing opposing interests, for the creation of a European reference model for the circulation of personal data. In particular, consideration will be given, on the one hand, to the interests of users of services related to the processing and circulation of personal data and, on the other hand, to those of digital service providers, through an analysis of what might be the most appropriate tools to prevent the recourse to unfair and unlawful practices and to foster the creation of a European reference model in this field.

Below is a list of the topics covered during the lessons, both online and in the classroom, by the respective lecturers of the project:
– Prof. Giovanni Sciancalepore (gsciancalepore@unisa.it), ‘Prevention of unfair practices and user protection in the transnational circulation of personal data’.
– Prof. Francesco Buonomenna (fbuonomenna@unisa.it), ‘The protections of the digital user within the regulatory model of the European Union’.

– Prof. Giorgio Giannone Codiglione (ggiannonecodiglione@unisa.it), ‘Circulation of personal data and relations between consent and legitimate interest of the data controller’.
– Prof. Carla Cosentino (ccosentino@unisa.it), ‘Towards a European model of personal data governance: limits, opportunities and prospects for development’.
– Prof. Olindo Lanzara (olanzara@unisa.it), ‘Unfair contractual clauses concerning data access in business-to-business relations’.

For any information, please contact the individual lecturers directly at the e-mail addresses indicated.
